Taylor Swift‘s newest album Lover is officially an international success, less than a week after it was released on August 23.
The album has reportedly set a sales record in China, and has sold more than a million copies.
Those numbers mean that Swift, 29, has set the record for the biggest sales week in China for an international artist.

Taylor‘s previous albums, both 1989 and Reputation, also sold more than one million copies in China.
Swift‘s album is doing well in the United States as well, selling more than 625,000 copies in the first five days, according to Billboard.
And Lover has earned over 750,000 album sales in the U.S. once you factor in streaming services.

It also sets the record for the biggest sales week for an album in the U.S.
The last record was set by her last album, Reputation, when it was dropped in 2017.

And after a very busy week of press, the Love Story hitmaker is now making some time for her long-term lover, Joe Alwyn, 28.
The star is jetting off to London to ‘spend time with Joe,’ a source revealed to Us Weekly on Tuesday.
Swift’s private romance with Alwyn is her first in a long time. She’s previously dated and openly talked about past boyfriends including, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, and Tom Hiddleston.

And while she politely declined to speak about her current long-term relationship, there have been many hints and tributes to Joe in her newly released Lover album.
Her song Cruel Summer, which she penned in her diary at the time of 2016 as being ‘like the apocalypse,’ is around the time she secretly began dating the UK native – following her whirlwind romance with Tom Hiddleston.
And the final track of the 18-song album, self-written and titled, Daylight, is an ode to the love that they have together.
‘I once believed love would be burning red,’ read the lyrics, in a reference to her Grammy Album of the Year nominated record, Red, ‘But it’s golden, like daylight.’

A source recently told People that Taylor and Joe were stronger than ever in 2019 and their privacy has really helped their romance.
‘Taylor got really lucky to meet Joe, and she is the first one to say it,’ they reported.
‘Joe is really one of a kind.’
‘Keeping it private from the beginning really helped their relationship. They were able to get to know each other in peace.’
