Taskmaster’s triumphant return to Channel 4 has finally been given a launch date – and will involve Daisy May Cooper as a superhero.

The highly-anticipated new series of the show, which is led by Greg Davies as the master of ceremonies of whacky tasks, is promising to be one to remember.

Launching on October 15, Greg, his right-hand man Alex Horne, and a team of comedians will be unleashed upon us for a new set of challenges.

First look photos of the squad show Daisy May Cooper pulling off the ultimate power stance in a superhero outfit befitting the ultimate, pregnant Wonder Woman.

With a logo that looks like a clitoris in a female symbol, the star’s pout proves she’s ready for action.

She’ll be joined by Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd), Mawaan Rizwan (who has just starred alongside Maisie Williams in comedy Two Weeks To Live), and stand-up comedian Richard Herring.

We just know this is going to devolve into something ridiculous and we’re ready for our evenings in with this lot keeping us entertained.

They join an elite group of wannabe Taskmasters, with the previous nine series featuring: Josh Widdicombe, Katherine Ryan, Rob Beckett, Noel Fielding, Bob Mortimer, Liza Tarbuck, Kerry Godliman, Lou Sanders and Ed Gamble.

Who will be crowned the latest champion?

Taskmaster starts October 15 at 9pm on Channel 4.
