Taron Egerton may still be basking in the rave reviews from Rocketman, but there’s one movie of his he doesn’t look back on fondly.

Last year, Taron had starred in Robin Hood but it’s fair to say the movie didn’t exactly flourish at the box office and the reviews were hardly glowing either.

Having his say on the film, Taron has now said in a new interview with Variety that he ‘wasn’t happy’ making Robin Hood and claims it had originally been pitched to him in a ‘different way’.

‘It was absolutely not the movie that I signed up to make,’ he told the publication.

‘It was pitched to me in a different way. I think it was made by committee and I think it lost its vision. I wasn’t very happy on set, I didn’t have a very happy time making it.’

Taron had played the lead role of Robin Hood and starred alongside the likes of Eve Hewson, Jamie Foxx and Jamie Dornan.

Fast forward a year, though, and Taron has been tipped for Oscar glory, thanks to his role as Sir Elton John in the music icon’s biopic, Rocketman, released earlier this year.

Taron has also been teased to play Wolverine, after he revealed he’d love to join the Marvel universe – as it’s pretty much an excuse to get in shape.

Rumours have been doing the rounds that he could follow in Hugh Jackman’s footsteps as the mutant, but all the speculation has Taron baffled.

Finally addressing the rumours, Taron spoke at ACE Comic Con in Chicago and said: ‘I think that I love those films and I’ve got lots of friends who play roles in those films and they love it and they have a great time.

‘I think the Logan thing is really interesting. I’m slightly baffled by it, I’ve never felt like a Wolverine sort of guy… Maybe in a few years I’ll look rough enough for it.’
