Taron Egerton has revealed a very saucy secret about filming scenes for the upcoming Elton John motion picture, Rocketman.
The film, which is due to hit cinemas later this month, follows the singer battling his drink and drug addiction, along with coming terms with his sexuality.
Cast members include Taron Egerton, who plays the star himself, and Bodyguard actor Richard Madden, who takes on the role of Elton’s former manager and lover John Reid.
To help make the star’s first sexual experience as authentic as possible, the duo decided to strip completely naked to film the sex scenes.
Speaking to Attitude Magazine, the Kingsman actor revealed he was unsure how much further they “could have gone.”
He said: “This is the scene of Elton losing his virginity and we wanted to try to do that justice.”
Revealing they filmed the scene in the buff, the 29-year-old confessed he “felt Richard’s penis on his leg.”
“We shot a scene where we are both naked on a bed and we are rolling around. I don’t really know how much further we could have gone.”
The actor later admitted that he treated kissing Madden with “love, care and affection,” because it was the moment Elton knew he had fallen for Reid.
Rocketman is directed by Dexter Fletcher, most notable for his recent involvement in the Bohemian Rhapsody film.
While Dexter has confirmed it’s not a biopic, more a “musical fantasy,” the film will document the singer’s breakthrough years.
In an interview with Digital Spy, the director revelead: “It’s based on the early part of Elton’s career and his rise to fame and the price that he paid for that, but I think a musical fantasy really is a great way to describe it.”
