Tamer Hassan, Game of Thrones and how Love Island star Belle has a famous father

New Love Island hopeful Belle Hassan already has a major claim to fame: her actor father appeared in Game of Thrones.

The 21-year-old make-up artist from Bromley is the daughter of Tamer Hassan who played Khal Forzo in the sixth series of HBO’s hit fantasy drama.

“My dad is an actor, Tamer Hassan. He’s been in The Football Factory, The Business, Game of Thrones – he is my link to the famous world,” Belle explained ahead of her debut on the show.

51-year-old Tamer starred opposite Emilia Clarke during his stint on the show, appearing as a Dothraki warrior who refused to cede to Daenerys Targaryen as the new Dothraki leader.

Belle described her famous father as “very supportive” and “like a best friend” who is “always there for [her.]”

“He’s told me to be myself but has also warned me ‘I’m watching and I’m going to be seeing every detail!’” she added.

Belle also has a link to last year’s Love Island winner Dani Dyer after one of Tamer’s biggest roles came in 2004 football hooligan drama The Football Factory opposite Danny Dyer.

“Because he was in a film with Danny Dyer, I’ve met Dani Dyer when we were kids,” she explained.

Belle is set to make her debut on the ITV2 dating show later this week along with 11 other new islanders hoping to cause drama and find love in Casa Amor and the original villa.

The original contestants will be split into groups of boys and girls and will then meet new singletons of the opposite sex, putting their existing relationships to the test.
