Susanna Reid: Good Morning Britain star sighs in awkward BBC Breakfast encounter

Good Morning Britain favourite Susanna Reid, 48, previously left her job on rival programme BBC Breakfast in order to join the ITV team in 2014. Last night, she appeared on anarchic comedy panel show Celebrity Juice. During a game where the stars had to answer questions without showing their teeth, struggling to enunciate with their lips clamped over their pearly whites, she found herself in a slightly awkward situation. Host Keith Lemon, real name Leigh Francis, 46, challenged the panellists to name “something brilliant”.

When it got to Susanna’s turn, she confidently announced: “Good Morning Britain.”

Keith then asked her to repeat herself, due to the muffled nature of her answer as she tried not to show her teeth in the hilarious game.

When she did, however, a loud buzzer sounded, indicating her response was incorrect.

Receiving word via his earpiece from a member of the production team acting as an adjudicator, Keith jibed: “Oh no, they said that BBC Breakfast is brilliant!”

The shot cut to Susanna who pulled a surprised expression before letting out an exasperated sigh.

She then nodded in agreement, giving credit to her former show.

Elsewhere on the Celebrity Juice, GMB host Susanna shocked as she revealed a saucy “secret skill”.

When Keith read out a very racy question from a fan, asking if the female stars had ever performed a sex act on each other, team captain Holly Willoughby, 38, and guest Mel B, 43, looked askance.

Stacey Solomon, 29, meanwhile, told the viewers to “P*** off”.

Susanna, however, went along with the joke, quipping cheekily: “That’s my secret skill.”

“Oh is it?” the host asked, while her fellow guests burst into fits of giggles.

Earlier this week, Susanna Reid was teased about her bedroom antics by her Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan, 54.

A racy conversation ensued when Piers noted Susanna’s “perky” attitude on the early morning topical programme.

Attempting to glean the reason for her good mood, he said: “You’re very perky.

“That’s the happy face you give me when you’ve had no sleep,” he added mischievously.

When one of Barry White’s seductive hits proceeded to play in the studio, further underlining Piers’ naughty implication, Susanna simply laughed.

“The reason I am laughing at that is because I literally went to bed at 7.30 last night,” she explained.

“Just me, on my own, in my bed,” she emphasised.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV, while BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
