SUSANNA Reid was treated to a lavish spa break and a hilarious mute button to silence outspoken co-host Piers Morgan as presents for her 49th birthday on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain.
The mum of three proved she’s forever a professional, braving an early start to present the ITV breakfast series on her special day.
Susanna wore a glittering black patterned jumper for her party day, with dazzling blue, green and pink sequins in horizontal stripes.
She styled her brunette hair in natural waves and opted for a pop of pink eyeshadow.
Tuesday’s episode of the ITV breakfast show opened with a celebration for the delighted presenter who beamed with joy.
Piers, 54, announced: “It’s somebody else’s special day,” as Stevie Wonder’s Happy Birthday tune played out.
She was presented with two gifts – the first a hilarious mute button toy, from co-presenter Charlotte Hawkins, who quipped: “There’s something that might come in useful, it’s a mute Piers button. Silence is golden.”
Becoming a little irked as he was the butt of the joke, Piers wailed: “Oh it’s pathetic.”
He then gave her a “very nice present” which she revealed: “He has got me a couple of days off to relax.
“He’s sending me to a beautiful spa and apparently I can have anything I want, so I will be having the full works.”
Piers also gifted her a ‘Susanna you are extraordinary’ journal of inspirational quotes.
GMB fans took to Twitter to wish Susanna many happy returns, and one wrote: “Many Happy Returns Susanna. Loving the show this morning.”
Another added: “Happy Birthday. Wonderful personality.
A third giggled: “you two never fail to cheer me up early doors. Happy birthday!”
One then surmised: “Happy Birthday! Every day is a good day with you in this world. Wish you a great day & a real mute button for Piers.”
