It’s a far cry from November 22, when Susan posted harrowing photos of her injured face after falling.

The longtime political activist was due to give a speech that weekend at a campaign event for Bernie Sanders but had to cancel.

She shared a copy of the stump speech she was planning to give for the would-be Democratic presidential nominee, with the recurring line: ‘This is an emergency.’

Her candidate, she said, ‘has been fighting for social, racial and economic justice his entire life, long before running for President, often before it was acceptable. Now it’s time for us to fight for him.’

Susan was a staunch Bernie supporter during the 2016 primary and scandalized some Democrats by refusing to vote for Hillary Clinton in the general election.

Susan was playing Saoirse and Rose’s grandmother in Peter Jackson’s film adaptation of Alice Sebold’s bestselling 2002 novel The Lovely Bones.

Although the film version was critically panned, Stanley Tucci earned an Oscar nod as the serial killer who rapes and murders Saoirse’s character Susie Salmon.

Susan’s hard-drinking, tough-talking Grandma Lynn whirls into the Salmon household and injects a bit of life back into the grieving family.

As usual with Peter Jackson movies, The Lovely Bones was filmed in New Zealand, and Rose, who played Susie’s sister Lindsay, wore an ‘I [heart] NZ’ pin in the photo.

The pair, whose upcoming child will be their third, have been handling the separation amicably and she showed on her Insta Stories this week that she is ‘rocking this gorgeous friendship ring Kyle gave me on our anniversary this year to commemorate our 8 year marriage.’
