Susan Boyle reveals plans to start a family by becoming a foster mum

Susan Boyle has revealed her plans to hopefully start a family by becoming a foster mum “when things quieten down”.

The Scottish singing sensation, who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, has admitted her “biggest regret” is not having kids, and that she would like to “share” her home with family.

“When things quieten down a bit I would like to get into fostering,” Boyle told The Sun. “I’m 58 so I’ve got something to bring my family home to. I’ve a lovely house, why not share it?

“I’ve never had any of my own, that’s my biggest regret, but I love kids. They’re good fun to be with.”

Boyle is hoping to become a foster parent in West Lothian after she chooses to leave the musical spotlight.

A source previously told the publication that Boyle “has a real soft spot for children” and was already “active behind-the-scenes” helping out young Scots via charities.

Earlier this year, Boyle released a new album celebrating a decade in the business after taking time out to regroup and “manage” things

She told The Sun: “I’m managing things a lot better now. It was a slow process. Everything is with me. But I’m coping inside a lot better now and I’m ready – more than ready – for what’s coming.

“I can cope with the pressure now. I know how to control myself better. I don’t get so worked up about things. I got a lot of help and I’m managing a lot more effectively.”

The star also confessed that being a multi-millionaire – with reports suggesting she is worth £20 million – didn’t really matter to her.

“I just want to entertain people, I want to make them happy,” Boyle said. “Money doesn’t bother me.”
