Susan Boyle has revealed one dating story which almost had her team calling the police, after fearing the singer had been kidnapped.

The 58-year-old star admitted she once had her team worrying after agreeing to go on a lunch date with a hunky doctor and didn’t tell anyone she was going.

She revealed how the mix-up ended up happening, telling OK: ‘I had a date in America about six years ago, which lasted 45 minutes.

‘I went for a massage in the spa of a hotel and met a doctor and then we went out for lunch. I didn’t tell anyone and my team thought I’d been kidnapped.

‘They were really panicking because I had a show that night.’

Thankfully Susan’s date wasn’t with Joe from You, so she managed to make it back safe and sound, though the relationship ended up fizzling out.

Susan admitted the reason it didn’t work out was that she doesn’t really have time to go dating, and she ‘couldn’t be dealing with keeping up with the correspondence’.
