Susan Boyle, 58, showed off her mischievous side as she offered some fashion advice to Simon Cowell, 59. The BGT singer, who stunned the head judge with her audition on Britain’s Got Talent 10 year ago, addressed an issue she had while speaking to the America’s Got Talent: The Champions team last week. Susan explained: “If I was going to give Simon Cowell fashion advice, I would say… “Well you can’t really say much to Simon because he’s his own boss.
“But I think maybe a suit would suit him sometimes.”
However, the Scottish musician seemed to retract her statement as she declared: “He’s better to be the way he is.”
Susan’s comments about the music mogul come after she performed I Dreamed A Dream for him again with a fresh twist on the America’s Got Talent: The Champions stage.
She admitted: “It’s something I can relate to, it’s about a lady who, more or less, was left on her own with nothing.
“Lots was taken away from her and she had to rebuild her life again.”
The star added: “I started off having a hard time and things have become brighter and better.”
Susan’s love of the song seemed to resonate with Simon, who gushed about her performance on AGT.
He said during the programme: “Every time she comes on, particularly that song I Dreamed a Dream, I get goosebumps.
“I remember that moment like it was yesterday. I remember her walking out with a microphone and thinking, ‘Oh please God, don’t be a singer. She’s not going to be a singer, not a singer,’ and the rest followed,” the TV personality divulged in reference to Susan’s April 2009 audition.
Simon continued: “She’s the most amazing person in real life, just amazing.”
Susan was also set to appear on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions this year, but reportedly was unable to do so due to other work commitments.
Simon addressed her absence while chatting on Lorraine last week.
He said: “I mean, truthfully Dan, I didn’t know but I do now, who was or wasn’t going to be on the show.
“But, Susan I knew about,” Simon clarified, as he revealed the reason why she decided not to take part.
The businessman went on to explain: “I don’t think she should’ve done it this year.
“She did America’s Got Talent Champions and I hope if this does well, we’ll do it again next year.”
Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions airs tonight at 8pm on ITV.
