Ahead of their 4 October debut, SuperM – a K-pop supergroup formed by SM Entertainment – is set to perform on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Not a bad way to introduce yourself to the world, right?

The band is made up of EXO’s Kai, 25, and vocalist Baekhyun, 27, WayV’s Lucas, 20, and Ten, 23, NCT 127’s songwriter-rapper Mark, 20, and 24-year-old Taeyong, and Taemin, 26, who has been in the industry the longest, joining SHINee at 14.

Quite the line-up, right?

The group announced on their fresh social channels earlier this morning they’d be making an appearance on 9 October, as they shared a simple reminder.

Along with a slick promotional shot of the seven-piece, they wrote: ‘SuperM x @TheEllenShow Oct 9.’

They added a bunch of hashtags along with the band’s funky emblem, such as #WeAreTheFuture, #SuperMtheFuture and #SuperM.

They’re planning on dropping their first EP together later this month in between all the mayhem, having already teased fans with the release of the instrumental track I Can’t Stand The Rain.

And although the boys have been keeping pretty tight-lipped about their upcoming release, Mark has revealed that the sound is ‘more advanced’ than ever before.

‘We’re doing something futuristic and more advanced than what the world has ever seen,’ he told Billboard.

Baekhyun, who is both the leader and oldest member of SuperM, has also admitted that the idea of the group is a ‘new challenge’, but the members have an ‘awesome synergy’.

‘There are a lot of expectations, because even though this is new, each of us comes from a different group,’ he said.

‘But there’s this awesome synergy between us.’

SuperM was officially launched in August by both Korean entertainment company SM Entertainment and US company Capitol Music Group, with the group’s name being a nod to SM.

Capitol CEO Steve Barnett has said that the group will ‘be part of our legacy to the future’.

It’s not just the tunes we have to look forward to, either, and as well as their EP they also have a collaboration with Marvel in the works, with the group in talks to create their own place in the comic book universe.

And that’s not all – the boys are also currently in rehearsals for their first-ever performance on 5 October in Los Angeles, so this is not the last you will be hearing of them.

And we cannot wait.

SuperM’s selftitled debut EP will be released on 4 October.
