Announced as part of its surprise Direct presentation to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros, 3D All-Stars will come bundled with Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy.

They were first released on the Nintendo 64, GameCube and Wii respectively.

It’s available to pre-order on the Nintendo eShop starting today priced at £49.99 and will be released on 18 September. So this may fill a gap for those waiting for Fall Guys to arrive.

However, the packaged version software is a limited-time only production, and the digital version will be a limited-time only release until the end of March 2021.

These are not officially remastered, with Nintendo calling them ‘optimised versions’ instead which means you’ll get higher resolutions than the original versions at HD and ‘smooth gameplay’.

There’s also an in-game music-player mode so you can listen to the music from each game. Nintendo said “Players can also listen to music on their Nintendo Switch systems when the screen is off”.

If you’re wondering about 3D World, that it being launched separately as Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury on 12 February 2021 with more details to come. The firm also announced Mario Kart Live Home Circuit.

It’s unclear whether Nintendo will re-release Super Mario Galaxy 2 on the Switch or not. Watch the full trailer for 3D All-Stars below.
