Channel Seven’s Sunrise accidentally aired an unfortunate double entendre on Friday morning.
During a segment about an oversized tabby cat, the words, ‘MUST SEE: MASSIVE PUSSY’, appeared on screen for several seconds.
The awkward moment caused hosts Sam Armytage and David Koch to laugh uncomfortably, but newsreader Natalie Barr was far from impressed.

David, who was teasing an upcoming news bulletin, enthusiastically opened the segment with: ‘From fit dads to a fat cat!’
He continued: ‘B.J. the two-year-old tabby. A massive moggie, tipping the scales at a whopping thirteen…’
Unable to control himself any longer, David stumbled over his words and stifled laughter as the vulgar phrase flashed on screen.

Sunrise’s sports reporter Mark Beretta then asked in disbelief: ‘What’s the headline?’
‘It’s a tabby,’ Sam responded with a giggle. ‘It’s stupid!’
Struggling to maintain her composure, Sam looked over at David and laughed: ‘I blame you for that!’

Playing dumb, David tried to keep a straight face as he replied nonchalantly: ‘I don’t get why you’re laughing.’

While most of the Sunrise team found the on-air gaffe funny, newsreader Natalie looked decidedly unimpressed.
As everybody giggled, the camera briefly cut to Natalie, who shot Sam and David a disapproving stare.
