She’s currently in Washington, D.C., covering the nail-biting presidential election for Channel Seven breakfast show Sunrise.

And Natalie Barr certainly cut a suave figure as she reported from the White House during a live cross on Thursday morning.

The 52-year-old journalist dazzled viewers as she sported a pair of huge diamond earrings, which she made even more visible by twisting her hair into a chic bun.

Natalie looked remarkably youthful despite wearing minimal makeup.

She wrapped up warm in a navy blue trench coat, which she teamed with a black jumper underneath.

Natalie subtly stuck with the ‘Democrat blue’ theme for the second day in a row, after raising eyebrows on Wednesday by wearing a blue blazer.

The U.S. election has attracted unprecedented coverage in Australia because of the controversial presidency of Donald Trump and his unlikely Democrat challenger, Joe Biden, all held within the turmoil of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Natalie has been busy covering the historical event all week, and during her TV appearance on Thursday she discussed the atmosphere around the White House as the world waits for confirmation of who has won.

‘Especially when Trump got up there last night at 2:20am, called that press conference and said “We’ve won the election,'” she added.

‘Then [he] said, “The system is rigged, they’re stealing the election from us as we’ve really won, and I’m going to take it to the Supreme Court.”‘

She signed off the segment with: ‘Good luck America!’
