Channel 4 bosses have decided to cancel today’s show of Sunday Brunch in the hopes of keeping presenters Simon Rimmer and Tim Loyjoy, as well as the crew safe after a number of shows were forced to stop production amid the coronavirus panic. Bosses announced today that they hoped to be back live on Sundays very soon but did not say when that might be.
Sunday Brunch was set to air on Channel 4 today at 9.30am, but just moments before, a tweet went up on the official Twitter page.
The tweet reads: “We are sad to say that Sunday Brunch will not be on this morning as billed.
“We put the health and safety of our team above all else and cannot at this time record the show without risk to our presenters and crew.
“We very much hope to be back live on Sundays soon.”
