SAM SMITH started it all when he posted less-than-perfect pictures of himself on Instagram – unheard of in the celebrity world – and sparked his own campaign for body confidence.
The singer, 27, said: “In the past, if I’ve ever done a photoshoot with so much as a T-shirt on, I have starved myself for weeks in advance.

“Yesterday I decided to fight the f*** back. Reclaim my body and stop trying to change this chest, hips and curves that my mum and dad made and love unconditionally.”
The results – with Sam in Y-fronts, a fur coat, and bright green Speedos with a straw hat – started to go viral.
So would it work for a less confident guy like me? To see, I’ve recreated Sam’s most outrageous posts here. And I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Yes, I could reduce the beer belly – but Sam has a point.
