Stunning images of British beaches from the world’s largest photography competition

With summer just around the corner, now’s the time to start planning your weekend beach break – and these new images from the CEWE Photo Awards could provide some inspiration.

The CEWE Photo Awards has been dubbed ‘the world’s largest photography competition’ and has received over 175,000 submissions this year.

With entries closing on June 2, the team at CEWE has sifted through the thousands of submissions to reveal some stunning images of Britain’s coastline, which you can see in the gallery above.

The competition is open to anyone over the age of 18 and both amateurs and experienced photographers can enter an image in one of the 10 different categories, ranging from landscapes to food to hobbies.

The winner will be announced at a ceremony in Vienna, Austria on September 26 this year and the overall winner will take home €7,500 (£6,570) worth of photography equipment, €2,500 (£2,190) worth of CEWE products and a holiday of their choice worth €15,000 (£13,150).

The top 30 images will also receive prizes, with second to tenth place receiving €5,000 (£4,380) worth of photography equipment and €2,500 (£2,190) worth of CEWE products, while eleventh to thirtieth place will receive €2,500 (£2,190) worth of photography equipment and €1,000 (£877) in CEWE vouchers.
