Studio 10's Joe Hildebrand claims Carrie Bickmore copied his baby name

‘She stole it!’ Joe Hildebrand claims Carrie Bickmore copied him by calling her child Adelaide – after he decided on the name for his unborn daughter

Joe Hildebrand has jokingly accused Carrie Bickmore of stealing his unborn daughter’s name.

The Studio 10 panellist made the bizarre claim on Tuesday, saying that Carrie took inspiration from him and his wife, Tara.

The Project host welcomed her third child in December, a baby girl named Adelaide, but it turns out Joe and Tara also wanted that name for their unborn daughter.

‘Carrie Bickmore stole our baby name. She stole it prematurely,’ he said. ‘We’re going to call our daughter Adelaide.’

When Joe’s fellow panellists pointed out that Carrie gave birth first, Joe replied: ‘I said she stole it prematurely’.

‘Tara really wanted the name Adelaide, it’s also my favourite city.’

Carrie and her partner, Chris Walker, welcomed the birth of their daughter Adelaide in December 2018.

She is also mum to a four-year-old daughter Evie, who she also shares with Chris, and an 11-year-old son Oliver with late husband Greg Lange.

Meanwhile, Joe announced his wife Tara’s pregnancy last month – they are already parents to daughter Bonnie, two, and son Henry, five.

In a story he wrote for Kidspot, Joe joked: ‘[The pregnancy] fills me with both great relief and great fear.

‘The relief is that I will not be headbutted in the nuts for the first ten years of her life and the fear is that for the second ten I will have absolutely no idea what she’s talking about.’
