Rose Ayling-Ellis’ partner was left out as her family and friends discussed her Strictly Come Dancing journey.
Fans have been left baffled as the EastEnders actress’ boyfriend Samuel Arnold was absent from the friends and family message given to the soap star on the series Strictly: It Takes Two ahead of the final set to be aired December 18.
The Mirror reports that Rose received an endearing video message from her loved ones, which included her mother Donna, her grandparents Paul and Val and her brother Jacob. Her friends Nadeem and William also appeared in the sweet message.
Her mum began by saying: “As a little girl, she was always really happy, always laughing, never frightened of anything. The most brave person I know actually. The thing that made me cry was her happiness. It just showed how proud she was of her deaf identity.”
Paul said Rose “never ceases to amaze” him whilst her sibling Jacob added: “When I first found out about Rose on Strictly, I think – it was just absolutely mindblowing. To see her get the earliest 40 in Strictly history, it just summed up how hard she’s been working.
“She’s just powering through and saying to the public, I can do everything that anyone else can do if I’m given that opportunity.”
Val added: “Her couple’s choice dance was was absolutely incredible. The emotion when the music stopped, I was in tears.”
Nadeem and William signed their messages, where they said: “She’s so driven and she’s so ready to just go for it. She will change anything to make sure deaf people can strive.”
Donna finished the message by adding, “I’m just so happy that they get to watch Rose and it’s Rose and she’s my daughter and I’m so proud,” as the camera cut back to Rose who was in tears.
Sam’s absence comes after rumours swirled about Rose and Giovanni Pernice’s closeness, with fans claiming there was a potential romance between the pair of them.
Fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the pair’s close bond, with one writing: “Giovanni is madly in love and you’ll not convince me otherwise,” whilst another added: “Just watching Rose and Giovanni together makes me cry.”
A third wrote: “Rose has brought something out in Giovanni that’s made me see him in a different light. It gives me the warm fuzzies to see how they adore and support each other.”
