Oti Mabuse is ‘hoping to arrange a summit’ with Kelvin Fletcher and his wife, Liz Marsland, over those nightcap pictures.
The rumour mill erupted earlier this week when pictures emerged of the Strictly Come Dancing winners enjoying a drink together at 3.30am, after a night out with their BBC co-stars.
And the 29-year-old is reportedly wanting to come face-to-face with Liz and reassure her over the photos – ahead of a cruise herself and the Emmerdale actor are due to perform on.
‘Oti is a girls’ girl and wants to explain what really happened face-to-face with Liz and personally reassure her,’ an insider claimed.
‘She knows that Liz is mostly annoyed with Kelvin about his late night partying, but wants the opportunity to explain in her own words that they were just having a friendly nightcap and that nothing happened.
‘She doesn’t want there to be any awkwardness ahead of their cruise and wants to keep their Strictly triumph positive. Kelvin is keen too and has already told Liz that there is nothing to worry about.’
The source also revealed the professional dancer wants her husband, Marius Iepure, present as well so they can all put the drama to one side.
‘She is adamant that she’s not a homewrecker and it’s important to her that Liz trusts her and there is no bad blood,’ they added to the Sun.
The drama kicked off this week when Oti and Kelvin, 36, were seen enjoying a drink together, at the Sanctum Soho Hotel, in the early hours of the morning.
While there was no suggestion the pair are anything more than good friends, Liz raised eyebrows when she unfollowed the Emmerdale actor on Instagram – and has yet to press the follow button again.
She was later seen without her wedding ring, adding to the speculation that their four-year marriage is on the rocks.
However, the actress soon explained away her ring’s absence, writing on Instagram: ‘‘That ring is heavy. It only comes out on special occasions!
‘Oh and it was fake tan day. #Nodramahere.’
Kelvin – who shares two children with Liz – admitted he was baffled by the rumours surrounding their romance.
‘Everything is amazing,’ he told the publication. ‘I am just a little bit bewildered by all the attention. But I am sure it will all blow over.’
He later shared a loved-up selfie with the actress to commemorate Valentine’s Day, proving they are still as loved-up as ever.
