Strictly’s Kelvin Fletcher 'haunted by thoughts of Jamie Laing’s horror injury'

The former Emmerdale star was a late arrival to the Strictly dance floor after he was roped in to replace Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing.

Kelvin Fletcher has made it clear he’s chuffed to take part in the BBC show, but he can’t get unlucky Jamie out of his mind.

The 30-year-old reality star was forced to drop out of the show after injuring his foot in the middle of a performance.

Though he spent a few days trying to rest his wounded trotter, it was decided that it would be best to throw in the towel.

Speaking about filling Jamie’s boots, Kelvin said: “I’m a massive fan of Strictly so it’s incredible. I’m so happy that I can be a part of it.”

Before adding: “But at the same time it’s quite bittersweet! I’m coming in on the back of Jamie’s injury – I keep thinking about him!

“I can’t imagine going through all this excitement and then having to pull out.

“My thoughts are with him – he seems like a fantastic guy and I hope he’s doing OK.”

With recovery expected to take eight weeks, he’s been limping about in a moon boot and crutches since the accident.

The 35-year-old soap star has been paired with Jamie’s former partner, stunning pro dancer Oti Mabuse.
