Strictly Come Dancing favourite couple Kelvin and Oti looked slightly awakward as they jumped in a taxi together on Wednesday night.

They’d been to Strictly’s spin-off It Takes Two for the night and were pictured leaving the studios before sharing a ride.

The actor and professional dancer seemed to be avoiding the cameras and as a result were pictured looking very distant inside their cosy taxi ride.

Former Emmerdale star Kelvin, 35, was engrossed in his phone as Oti, 29, sat beside him.

In one snap Oti is seen getting into the car to sit next to her dancing partner.

In another snap, they wait patiently together for their taxi but seem to stand apart in a bid to keep cameras away.

It comes after Oti was reportedly “furious” at her partner Kelvin, as he snubbed his own wedding anniversary to rehearse for the show.

Oti is said to have urged Kelvin to be with his devoted wife so as not to spark “Strictly curse” rumours.

But Kelvin insisted on spending the day with Oti and the rest of the Strictly crew to rehearse the American Smooth.

It was his fourth wedding anniversary with wife Liz Marsland, who has been supporting him during his stint on the show and has been taking care of their two children while he’s away training.

But his decision to spend it with his dance partner clearly paid off as their Beauty and the Beast themed routine won them a whopping 39 points in last night’s quarter final.

A source told The Sun : “All the celebrities were encouraged to be in London this week as that’s where the backing dancers are based.

In recent weeks, the Strictly hopeful skipped his wedding anniversary to perfect his dancing moves

“Oti knew it was Kelvin and Liz’s anniversary and was happy for him to go to Manchester, but he didn’t want to.

“He takes the show very seriously and didn’t want them to be behind the curve.

“However, Oti was worried his decision may be seen as a reflection on the state of his marriage and the rumour mill would start up.

“She hates the idea people could whisper about them being struck by the Strictly curse. She had a bit of a meltdown about it.”
