Strictly’s James Cracknell denies he ‘flew into furious rage’ after leaving

James Cracknell has hit back at claims suggesting that he lost it after being booted from Strictly Come Dancing .

Allegations surfaced that the Olympian didn’t take the departure news well and went into a rage once the curtain had closed on his time on Strictly.

A source claimed that he went “overboard with his anger” after being given the boot.

James and Luba were the first to be axed from Strictly

The source alleges in The Sun that the rowing legend said “I wish I’d never done this show” after he faced criticism during the second week.

An insider went on to add: “He was livid at being axed. He was saying things like, ‘it was a massive mistake to do Strictly. I’ve been made to look completely stupid’.

“James is very competitive – he won gold at the Olympics twice – and he felt he wasn’t given a fair chance.

Fellow contestants gushed when they had to say farewell

“It was like his first career failure. He was very angry backstage and had to be calmed down.”

“Luba Mushtuk & I had fun & our best dance but it wasn’t enough. I know I’m no John Travolta so to throw my toys out the pram would be stupid.”
