Strictly results: Who left Strictly Come Dancing 2019 tonight?

Who left Strictly 2019 tonight?

Going into tonight’s results show, things weren’t looking good for Michelle and Chris.

At the other end of the table, Kelvin Fletcher and Karim Zeroual appeared all but safe.

Both Kelvin and Karim racked up a near-perfect 39 points out of a possible 40 on Saturday (November 16).

However, while it was Chris and Michelle in the bottom two, it was Saffron Barker who joined Michelle in the dance-off.

Both the judges and their fellow contestants were stunned to see the YouTuber and Drag Race star dancing for their places in the competition.

Michelle performed her Couple’s Choice once more with professional partner Giovanni Pernice, receiving a raucous round of applause from the crowd.

Similarly, Saffron and her partner AJ Pritchard impressed with their Quickstep.

Sadly for Michelle, the judges all unanimously decided to save Saffron, meaning Michelle was the eighth celebrity to leave Strictly 2019.

Despite falling short of the final, Michelle remained positive as she discussed her departure with Tess Daly.

She said: “This whole experience has been amazing. At 51-years-old and never danced in my life, I never thought I’d be able to do what I have done and to have such an incredible partner.

“To be here for my husband and my kids and the entire community, that’s why I did what I did.

“I am so honoured to be welcomed by my new friends here.”

Similarly, Giovanni gushed over his celebrity partner as they said their goodbyes.

He said: “You are wonderful. We laugh, we cry, we fight and we argue and we’ve done everything but I’ve loved every single second.

“I think you are inspirational and we did this dance and wanted to send a message.

“You are a phenomenal lady and I am so proud of everything we’ve done. I’m here to say thank you, thank you, thank you.”
