Strictly fans want Cynthia Erivo to replace Shirley Ballas as she 'puts judges to shame'

Strictly Come Dancing fans have urged BBC chiefs to make Cynthia Erivo the new lead of the BBC judging panel.

Viewers of the show were left in tears after the new judge began to sign to Rose Ayling-Ellis, 27, after she’d finished dancing the Paso Doble with professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

Using her hands to communicate, she told Rose: “That was fierce.”

Twitter blew-up with masses of praise for Cynthia who unlike any of the other panel members had taken the time to learn sign language.

One fan wrote: “Cynthia really puts the other judges to shame with how she’s learnt little bits of sign language for Rose. We’re on week 10 and everyone else has done the bare minimum to communicate with her.”

Another added: “I also love that for the second week in a row, Cynthia learned how to sign her opening comment to Rose. Be nice if the regular judges did it a bit more.”

A third penned: “Strictly Judges – take notes! Thank you Cynthia for signing to Rose!”

“Cynthia making 300% more effort than any other on-screen folks to actually sign whole sentences, love to see it,” chimed a fourth.

While a fifth exclaimed: “Oh my god I love Cynthia Erivo so much, please can she be in charge.”
