Strictly Craig Revel Horwood says he had a crisis over how to pay for his two £1m mansions

STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood said he had a crisis over how to pay for his two £1million mansions.

The judge, 55, took five months off as lockdown dried up his television and theatre work.

But Craig said he was filled with “panic and anxiety” that he wouldn’t be able to afford to pay for his two mansions – and his affluent lifestyle.

“I had a crisis at the start of lockdown thinking: ‘How am I going to pay my bills?’

“It took me a good month to accept that this is reality and then it took me another month of panic and anxiety and just wondering how I am going to pay the bills and what is going to happen. It was just awful,” Craig told the Mail Online.

“I had to remind myself there are millions of people in the same boat and we all have to adapt and get on with it.

“It’s been a good time to look at myself, it has been a good time to write and to get on with it.

“And actually achieve things I have had on a list of things to do for a couple of years.”

Craig is estimated to make £110,000 for his appearance on Strictly and makes £180,000 from theatre work.

One of the star’s homes is a Strictly themed house in Hampshire.

His jaw-dropping house features giant glitterballs and a statement sequin sculpture.

Adding to the glitzy theme, Craig also has sequin-covered cushions and a silver deer head wall mount.

The house is surrounded by seven and a half acres of gardens.

He shares the house with his gardener fiance Jonathan Myring.

Craig moved into the £1.8m home in 2014 after selling the Camden house he’d previously lived in for 20 years.
