Catherine Tyldesley appears to be seriously putting in the work for Strictly Come Dancing as the actress was snapped with severe bruising on her knees.

Pictured exiting the It Takes Two studios on Wednesday, the former Coronation Street actress had purple and green bruises across her knees, as she left with dance partner Johannes Radebe.

Wearing a sun and moon patterned jumpsuit, the legs of the outfit fell up as she got into the waiting car and revealed the lengths she has gone to in rehearsals.

Sadly Catherine is the bookies favourite to leave Strictly Come Dancing this weekend – with 61 % of punters backing her to get the boot.

Catherine is the most popular pick to get eliminated from the show in Ladbrokes’ latest betting stats with the actress 8/1 in the betting to be the next celebrity to leave, with Mike Bushell currently being 4/7 clear favourite.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes explained: ‘Catherine’s time could be up this week despite being one of the early favourites for the Glitterball Trophy.’

Kelvin Fletcher and Karim Zeroual, who have been favourites all along, have the odds of 100/1 to depart this Sunday, while Emma Barton follows at 50/1 and Saffron Barker is at 40/1.

Last weekend saw David James become the fourth celebrity to leave the competition, following James Cracknell, Anneka Rice and Dev Griffin.

This Saturday Strictly fans are also in for a treat as the contestants will be taking part in the Halloween special – and Chris Ramsay will be dancing to the Backstreet Boys.

Michelle Visage and Giovanni Pernice are also bang on theme, dancing the foxtrot to the theme from The Addams Family, while Kelvin and Oti will be dancing their tango to Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy.

Fresh from the success of their Charleston, Alex Scott and Neil Jones have chosen street/commercial for their couple’s choice, which will be set to the theme from Ghostbusters.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night on BBC One.
