Strictly Come Dancing: Michelle Visage says she ‘desperately’ wants to join arena tour after being snubbed from line-up

Strictly Come Dancing hopeful Michelle Visage has revealed that she’s “desperate” to take part in the show’s arena tour after she was not included in the line-up.

On Monday morning, the list of stars taking part in the 2020 tour was confirmed, featuring stars from the current series including Karim Zeroual, Kelvin Fletcher, Emma Barton, Alex Scott and Saffron Barker.

Axed celebrities including Catherine Tyldesley and Mike Bushell, who left the show on Sunday, have also been snapped up, but Visage, who remains in the competition after beating Bushell in the dance off, is absent from the line-up.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race judge, 51, shared her disappointment on Twitter shortly after details of the tour were confirmed, re-tweeting messages from fans who were shocked at the omission.

When one Twitter user suggested that Visage “may have other commitments,” she replied: “No! I want to do it desperately.”

After another fan described her absence from the line-up as “a great shame,” she responded with a crying emoji.

When a third asked whether she would not feature on the tour even if she and partner Giovanni Pernice win the BBC competition, she answered: “Apparently.”

Standard Online has contacted a representative for the Strictly Come Dancing tour for further comment.

The string of live shows will start in Birmingham on January 16, 2020 and will travel around the UK before concluding at London’s O2 Arena in February.

2018 winner Stacey Dooley will host the shows, with judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli also taking part.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on November 16 at 7.05pm on BBC One. The Strictly Come Dancing arena tour opens on January 16, 2020. Tickets are on sale now.
