Strictly Come Dancing fans raging as show results are 'accidentally' leaked

Strictly Come Dancing ‘s seventeenth season is in full swing, with seven contestants left to battle it out for the Glitterball Trophy.

Last night’s episode was as tense as ever, as the remaining celebs tried to impress the judges with moves from the Charleston and the jive.

The results show is filmed directly after the live dance-off, but BBC One doesn’t air the episode until Sunday evening.

Even though the cast and crew know who got the chop, they have to stay tight-lipped until the following day.

Unfortunately, as usual, the results were leaked online before the official reveal aired on TV – leaving fans fuming.

Two celebrity couples battled it out in the bottom two, forcing the judges to cast their vote to send the contestants to the chopping block.

Twitter users, who happened across the trending spoiler, were shocked by the judges’ decision and felt the couple sent home deserved to stay.

One said: “I’m taking a day off work tomorrow because of the sad news.”

A second added: “I don’t care about the general election or Brexit right now… I’m all about the Strictly spoiler.. we don’t deserve this!”

While a third chipped in: “I’m expecting riots…”

Even though viewers might kick off over the elimination result, the judges have hit out at the online trolls spamming them over their verdict.

When Dev Griffin was axed from the show, Shirley Ballas defended the decision, saying it was “heart-wrenching” sending contestants home.

In her Hello! magazine column, she said: “People think that we want to send people home but we don’t, it’s heart-wrenching.

“We all adore Dev but you’ve got to choose the best person to go through. Having said that, I don’t know why people are shocked if they didn’t vote.”

Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs on BBC One at 7.15pm.
