With the final merely hours away Dan Walker revealed why Karim might be on course to win the title with a quick stat attack, detailing why he believes that the CBBC presenter is set to pick up the Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball trophy.
The grand final of Strictly Come Dancing and all its glitter is merely hours away for Emma Barton, Kelvin Fletcher, and Karim Zeroual, who have virtually no time left to practise.
As the trio and their respective partners do their best to grab a few hours sleep before their big night, there’s a nugget of statistical analysis which might tip the scales towards Karim.
In a bumper edition of It Takes Two, broadcast from the Strictly set, fans of the show were on hand to discuss the series and their predictions.
When Dan Walker was invited into Zoe Ball and Rylan Clark-Neal’s sparkly TV home, he reeled off some numbers which point towards a Karim victory.

In the final Karim and Amy will dance a Quickstep, while Emma and Anton will dance a Charleston and Kelvin and Oti will perform a Rumba. All of the couples will also perform a show dance.
In light of the dances, Dan pointed out Karim and Amy’s key successes.
“In the weeks we’re looking at, the Quickstep, the Rhumba week, and the Charleston week, Karim and Amy were top in all those weeks.”
The Football Focus presenter knows the value of crunching numbers to predict performances.
And yet, despite Dan’s stats, that’s not who he is backing to win the final.
When pressed by Zoe to reveal who he, and other panellists Sunetra Sarker and Vernon Kay, thought would win, he picked another couple.
Instead of Karim, Dan plumped for Kelvin and Oti.
His view was shared by Sunetra and Vernon, who also both predicted a win for Jamie Laing’s substitute and Oti Mabuse.
