With the new season of Stranger Things set to premiere next month, the cast have gone all out to mark this special occasion.

Stars took to the red carpet in Santa Monica, California for the world premiere of the hit Netflix series’ third season.

Cast members including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard all made an appearance, whilst wearing a dazzling display of apparel.

It’s been almost a year and half since the last season of the series was released in October 2017, so fans have eagerly been anticipating what will happen next.

Millie Bobby Brown previously told E! News that the new season, which takes place in 1985, focuses on the ‘summer of love’ and in particular the chemistry between her character, Eleven Hopper, and Finn Wolfhard’s character, Mike Wheeler.

‘It’s the summer of love, which means definitely more romance between our lovely couple Meleven’, she gushed.

‘Obviously we have to add some Stranger Things mystery into it and it definitely gets very deep and scary,’ she added.

Fans who ship the two together will be pleased to hear this.

David Harbour also teased some ideas of what will happen this season: ‘We’re playing with the same alphabet of these ’80s epics, but we’re kinda throwing out the model again and sort of expanding these characters in ways that you wouldn’t expect them to go in.

‘The Duffers (show creators) are continuously interested in exploring the limits and taking risks, and we take a lot of risks this season, so there’s a lot of new relationships that get set-up and a lot of new cinematic influences.”

The third season of Stranger Things premieres on Netflix on 5 July.
