Stormzy has slammed claims that he has cheated on Maya Jama with singer Jorja Smith.
It emerged on Wednesday that Stormzy, 26, and Maya, 25, had ended their relationship after four years together.
Shortly after, rumours began circulating on social media that the Big For Your Boots rapper had ‘cheated’ with fellow musician Jorja, whom he has been friends with for several years.
Approached about the online speculation relating to Stormzy and Jorja, a rep who manages both stars told Metro.co.uk: ‘I can confirm any accusations or reports surrounding Stormzy’s infidelity to Maya are categorically not true.’
Last year, Stormzy and Jorja collaborated on the track Let Me Down but he didn’t appear in the music video.
Maya’s rep earlier confirmed that she was no longer in a relationship with the rapper, stating: ‘Yes, I can confirm the relationship has ended and Maya has separated from Stormzy.’
A source told The Sun that Maya had grown frustrated with Stormzy’s ‘party lifestyle’, and wanted to focus on her career.
News of the split has come as a shock to fans, as Stormzy had celebrated Maya’s 25th birthday last week.
The rapper, real name Omari Owuo Jr, treated the TV presenter to a swanky dinner at Sexy Fish in London on Wednesday. The pair looked happy and relaxed as they left the restaurant and climbed into their car to head home together.
Then a few days later, Stormzy was in attendance as Maya threw a lavish bash in Hackney.
Last year, Stormzy hinted that he had plans to settle down and marry Maya, telling the Sunday Mirror in an interview: ‘I’m still so young but I want to propose, it’s going to happen and I will do it right. She is so sick, she is the best.’
