Stormzy called the General Election a ‘dark day for minorities’ after finding out the Conservative Party will be ruling the UK for another five years.

But it seems he has put his political woes behind him in order to get into the festive spirit.

On Friday afternoon the 26-year-old was spotted splashing his cash at the Pragnell Jewellery store, in London, and was pictured leaving with all the goodies.

The star appeared to be in high spirits as he made his way out of the shop, with a little shopping bag in tow.

He was dressed head to toe in black and rocked some interesting footwear that looked like slippers. But we stan anyone that can put comfort first and still make it fashion.

The rapper’s sighting came just hours after it was announced Boris Johnson would maintain his role as Prime Minister.

After hearing the news, Stormzy took to Twitter where he shared Mehdi Hasan’s tweet, which read: ‘Dark day for minorities in the UK.

‘Especially for British Muslims who watched as a man who said “Islam was the problem,” mocked veiled Muslim women, & also turned a blind eye to massive anti-Muslim hatred in his party, was just given a landslide majority by their fellow Britons.’

However, despite his feelings, the star still went onto drop his incredible new album Heavy Is The Head.

In one track, the Vossi Bop hitmaker wore his heart on his sleeve when addressing his split from ex-girlfriend Maya Jama.

The pair called time on their relationship back in August, after four years together, and Stormzy has now revealed their break-up is his ‘biggest regret’.

In the emotional song Lessons, he opened up about their romance before revealing their plans to start a family together.

He can be heard rapping: ‘Guess this is the karma for what I done to Maya. Greatest love I ever knew, I poured it down the drain. Maybe it’s the only way we both call it a day.

Appearing to reference baby plans, he added: ‘God loves a trier, I can’t even fathom what I probably had you going through.

‘You cannot imagine how I’m sorry, man, I’m showing you. Now I haven’t even got the luxury of knowing you. We was even meant to share a seed and let it grow in you.’
