Stormzy has no qualms about who was the winner of his feud with Wiley as he’s confidently stated it was a ‘quick and easy victory’.

Remember way back when to two weeks ago when Stormzy and Wiley, two of grime music’s biggest stalwarts, clashed on Twitter and then on several diss tracks after months of mounting tension.

Over the course of a week or so, Wiley, 42, accused his younger counterpart of being ‘worse than Ed Sheeran’ for their collaboration on Take Me Back To London.

He even came for Stormzy’s mum and her weave. Rude.

The Vossi Bop rapper then fired back with the dubs Disappointed and Still Disappointed, and claimed Wiley was forced to move his mum out of the country when her house was attacked by gunmen.

Yep, it really got that serious and became the stuff of grime legend to tell the grandkids.

Reflecting on their war of words, Stormzy told Ebro Darden on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio show: ‘It’s done. We had the exchange.

‘My last stop, I said 24 hours to reply, posted the video and then I was doing a signing and went to go smoke a cigarette and check the time. I was like, “all right, cool. We just got about 10 minutes left”. Nothing happened.’

He continued: The next day or something, he dropped it. I heard it and it was like, “Okay, like we’re going to leave it here.” The album went number one the day after. There were celebrations for that.’

Like a true champion, Stormzy not-so-modestly declared himself the rightful winner and stated: ‘Now I’m thinking, “It was a quick, easy victory”. I big up Wiley for [the fight] all day long. He’s got a duty to protect his genre.

‘He’s given me a strength, a certain kind of strength that I may not have had in my career because I was never battle tested. I’m proud to be in a position where I can play my part in sparring with the godfather.’

It seems the feud is very much water under the bridge as Wiley has pleaded for Stormzy to invite him to the next #MerkyFest this summer.

‘Put me on Merky Fest I don’t even want money I will sing Rolex,’ Wiley begged on Twitter.

‘In this life sometimes you have to jump off the Cliff or Jump in the fire to see what’s Gwarning and that’s the bottom line of this #Tweet.#Risk #Reward #RobinHood.’

Will Stormzy take the other end of the olive branch?
