SINGER Sting has cancelled a number of concert dates across Europe due to a mystery illness.
The 67-year-old musician confirmed the news on Twitter yesterday, hours after calling off his gig in Munich under “doctor’s orders”.

The former Police frontman‘s social media then added that no further shows will take place while he recovers from his unspecified ailment.
The post read: “It is with great regret that Sting’s concerts previously scheduled for Thursday, Jul 11 at jazzopen in Stuttgart, Germany and Friday, July 12 at the Castle Garden in Slavkov u Brna, Czech Republic will be cancelled.
“As reported earlier this week, Sting is under the weather and under doctor’s orders, was forced to also cancel concerts in Ghent, Belgium (Monday July 8) and Munich, Germany (Wednesday, July 10).
“Sting sincerely regrets disappointing or causing any inconvenience to the fans.”
The posts also added that tickets will be refunded to the disappointed concert-goers.
His string of cancellations began on Monday when he was forced to call off his appearance at a jazz festival in Ghent, Belgium.
So far the rocker, who has 17 UK Top 40 records to his name, has not revealed what illness prompted him to cancel.
Sting was catapulted into the spotlight as one third of The Police alongside Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers before he went solo in 1985.

The Newcastle native has been married to Trudie Styler since 1992 and have welcomed four children together.
Sting, who is a keen yoga practitioner, once famously divulged the secrets of their happy union by revealing the couple indulged in “eight hours” of tantric sex.
He’s since said the comments were a joke and tried to clarify them on a US talk show.

He told Inside The Actor’s Studio: ‘The idea of tantric sex is a spiritual act.
“I don’t know any purer and better way of expressing a love for another individual than sharing that wonderful, I call it, ‘sacrament.’
“I would stand by it. Not seven hours, but the idea.”
