Steve Carell wants to end his ‘blood feud’ with Rob McElhenney – with a crossover of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and The Office. Any objections? Thought not.

It all kicked off when It’s Always Sunny creator Rob trolled Steve with videos from the show’s set which also happens to be where The Office was filmed.

Of course, Rob, 42, just couldn’t resist the opportunity to make a dig about The Office’s cancellation in 2013 while It’s Always Sunny has just been renewed for a 15th season.

But it seems Steve, 56, is ready to bury the hatchet and has proposed a crossover that would see The Office cast heading over to the It’s Always Sunny bar in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Extending the olive branch, Steve tweeted: ‘Rob, this blood feud has to end. “It’s Always Sunny in Scranton”. Thoughts?’

Erm, thoughts? Get us to that bar.

Rob, 42, was more than down for the idea as he replied: ‘SCRANTON IS ONLY A HUNDRED AND TWENTY MILES AWAY FROM PHILADELPHIA. @SteveCarell THIS WORKS. WHO WANTS IT MORE – @fxnetworks @nbc @netflix @hulu?? The bidding shall begin at five hundred million dollars [sic].’

This prompted the respective casts to get involved with the banter with Angela Kinsey, who played accountant Angela Martin in The Office, tweeting: ‘I think we all need this. Sign me up for the b****y blonde.’

Done. Or at least it seemed to be a done deal until Rob pointed out that Kaitlin Olson, who plays Dee Reynolds in It’s Always Sunny and is also Rob’s real life wife, was already occupying the role of ‘b****y blonde’.

He said: ‘Um… s**t. @kaitlinolson do you want to tell her?’

Surely there’s room for another?

In his trolling video, Rob walked around the Chandler Valley Center Studios in Panorama City, California before panning to Danny DeVito who definitely wasn’t wearing any pants while standing in his trailer.

Mocking the Office cast, Rob said: ‘So apparently this is Dunder Mifflin, I guess, where they shot The Office.

‘Wasn’t 100 percent sure of that, but they’re gone now, they’re off the air. And now you got… sorry, [Steve] Carell. You got these guys now.’

Come on guys, do it for the fans.
