Stephen Bear declares himself 'selfish' as he gushes over being the 'next Rocky'


While in the UK Stephen Bear is best known for his antics on Celebrity Big Brother and Ex On The Beach, he had a fresh slate to the US audience.

However, it wasn’t long before Bear’s antics from the UK migrated to the US, and he became yet another controversial character.

The reality hunk has caused quite a stir during his time in the industry, and it’s not looking like he’s planning to change that anytime soon.

Speaking to Daily Star Online, he revealed his plans as his co-star Johnny Bananas confirmed Bear brought in his controversial personality straight away.

Bear said: “To be shown in America is huge, I feel privileged and lucky really – it’s the highest rated show in the US.”

He added: “Americans, love me or hate me, they remember my name.

“It sounds selfish – but that’s what I want.”

Confirming reality TV is just the start for him, he added: “My goal is to be an actor – I think I could be the next Rocky.”

In a bid to complete his acting dream, Bear continued to keep up his TV persona while he was in the house, and it definitely caused some trouble.

He added: “I love winding people up, I know what annoys people. It’s not malicious, it’s funny to watch.

“A lot of people thought it was ‘their show’ so for someone like me to come in and be fresh, loud and controversial – it was different.

“The culture clash over the humour between the UK and Americans, to live in that environment as well…

“Americans are a funny breed, it takes a while to get British humour.”

However, it sounds like Bear soon became close pals with the US game-players, despite their difficult start.

The Challenge: War of The Worlds continues Wednesday’s at 9pm on MTV.
