SteelSeries to Acquire Audio Software Developer A-Volute


Today, Danish gaming peripherals manufacturer SteelSeries announced that it has agreed to acquire French 3D gaming sound solutions developer A-Volute. The transaction, for which financial details have not been disclosed, is expected to close later in the spring.

By acquiring A-Volute, which is best known for its audio software Nahimic, and its engineering team, SteelSeries is looking to improve its gaming software platform. Furthermore, the business transaction will expand SteelSeries’ portfolio of business partners to A-Volute’s existing customer base, including gaming laptop manufacturers such as Dell and Aorus.
