Hardware brand SteelSeries will partner with BLAST Pro Series for its third annual Copenhagen Counter-Strike tournament on Nov. 2. The two Danish companies will collaborate for the sold-out event at the 12,000 capacity Royal Arena, with SteelSeries to host an on-site booth with prize giveaways. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2001, SteelSeries produces gaming tech including headsets, mice, keyboards, and controllers. The brand sponsors BLAST Pro Series competitor FaZe Clan, as well as two-time champions of Dota 2’s The International, OG.
Alongside regional event partners, BLAST Pro Series has ongoing agreements with Omen by HP, Betway, CS.Money, and Twitch. The Copenhagen event precedes a Global Final to be held in the kingdom of Bahrain this December. Next year, the tournament series will move to a more expansive, competitive format, “BLAST Premier,” which includes a Spring and Fall season—each of which will award $500K USD to their finals winners, and $1M to the 2020 Global Finals winner.
