Steam DOWN: Server status latest, 502 bad gateway error and not loading issues


STEAM DOWN – UPDATE ONE: After a brief outage the Steam store appears to be back online.

Down Detector reports of Steam down have fallen sharply while users on Twitter have reported the Steam store as working for them once again.

According to the Down Detector outage map, Steam users in the UK, US and Europe were among those affected.

ORIGINAL: Steam down reports are flooding in right now with users reporting being greeted with a 502 bad gateway error when they try to access the Valve store.

Independent outage monitor Down Detector has registered a spike in Steam down reports today.

Out of those affected some 75 per cent are having trouble accessing the Steam site while 16 per cent are having issues with logging in.

On social networking site Twitter Steam users have also reported issues with the digital PC games marketplace which is not loading for them.

One Steam fan tweeted: “STEAM SUMMER SALE IS HER…….and the site is down”.

Another posted: “Steam is down! I just want to give you all my money”.

One added: “Steam is down..”

And another wrote: “The Steam store is down. That probably means it’s Steam sale again.”

The Steam server issues come at the start of the Steam summer sale 2019, which has launched today.
