Snug as a bug: Wrapping up in a lovely blanket will leave you feeling relaxed and cosy. Primark has a great selection of throws to choose from, such as its extra-large, super-soft mustard throw, £12. But to save the most cash, you can get a similar one from Wilko for just £5. Layering-up saves on buying a higher-tog duvet, too.

Best of both: A lush duvet is great for making your bedroom extra-comfy. I love Nanu’s Hot & Not duvet, currently half-price at £25. If you need a new duvet, this is a fantastic deal. Plus, you can choose a different tog for each side of the duvet, in case you and your partner don’t agree on the same thickness.

Hot hack: Sometimes sticking to tradition is best. You can’t beat a hot water bottle to keep you toasty and warm in bed in the cold weather. You can get a cute leopard print hot water bottle down from £7 to £5 at Asda.
