Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order release date: What time is launch on PS4 and Xbox One?

Fans don’t have long to wait to play the next major Star Wars game from Electronic Arts.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order’s release date has been set for this week on PS4, Xbox One and PC and will be the first major instalment in the franchise since Battlefront 2.

The Fallen Order has been developed by Respawn Entertainment, who aren’t known for their single-player campaign work.

But it looks like all this will change with the launch of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order on November 15, 2019.

WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE PLAN FOR JEDI FALLEN ORDER?

Unlike other big EA game launches, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order will not boast early access of any kind.

Electronic Arts has decided against a pre-release trial period for Jedi Fallen Order, due to the chance of spoilers.

“We’ve opted not to have early access for this title, in part to reduce the risk of story spoilers,” the post reads.

And when it comes to the official release time for Jedi Fallen Order on Friday, November 15, 2019, there are a few factors to know about.

The first is that the game will be available to buy from certain stores at midnight, or a few hours before on November 14.

Best Buy in the United States will allow gamers to head into their stores and purchase Fallen Order on November 14, at 9pm local time.

This is available in most stores, but it might be worth double-checking before heading out.

In the UK, we know that certain GAME shops will be opening at midnight on November 15 for the Pokemon Sword and Shield launch.

So there might be a chance you can pick up a copy from a participating store, as not all of them sign up to this policy.

“For midnight launches, stores generally open their doors around 11:45pm and will usually close around an hour later,” a message on the GAME website explains.

“Depending on demand, your local manager may choose to close earlier or stay open longer.

“Stores open at the discretion of your local manager. This list shows the latest information we have on stores that are taking part in the midnight launch; however, there may be changes.

“To be sure that your store is opening, please check with your local branch on their Twitter page before going out on the night as they will have the latest information.”

And when it comes to digital stores, different platforms are listing slightly different information.

The UK Origin website lists the official launch date as November 14, suggesting a release being scheduled just before midnight.

The PlayStation Store in the UK also lists November 14 as the release date, so it doesn’t sound like fans will be waiting around on Friday.

The Jedi Fallen Order team could share more official news in the coming days, but until then, it looks midnight on November 15 is a good prediction for things to start unlocking.

For more information on the setting of the new Fallen Orden game, here’s the official description from Respawn: “This narratively driven, single-player game puts you in the role of a Jedi Padawan who narrowly escaped the purge of Order 66 following the events of Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith.

“On a quest to rebuild the Jedi Order, you must pick up the pieces of your shattered past to complete your training, develop new powerful Force abilities and master the art of the iconic lightsaber – all while staying one step ahead of the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.

“While mastering your abilities, players will engage in a cinematically charged lightsaber and Force combat designed to deliver the kind of intense Star Wars lightsaber battles as seen in the films.

“Players will need to approach enemies strategically, sizing up strengths and weaknesses while cleverly utilising your Jedi training to overcome your opponents and solve the mysteries that lay in your path.”
