Star Wars actor leaves script for the movie in hotel room that makes it to eBay

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker director JJ Abrams reveals the script was left in a hotel room then nearly sold on eBay before Disney stepped in

The script for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was almost leaked.

While appearing on Monday’s Good Morning America, Abrams recalled that ‘one of our actors left [the script] under their bed, and it was found by someone who was cleaning their place. And it was given to someone else who went to sell it on eBay.’

The 53-year-old director kept mum about the identity of the actor responsible for the mess up.

A person who works at Disney saw the listing and bought it so they ‘got it back before it was sold,’ said JJ.

Though Abrams didn’t reveal the actor responsible for abandoning the script, the culprit was likely a leading actor.

The leads in the film are John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver.

The supporting actors don’t usually receive full-scripts on top-secret projects like these.

For instance, Keri Russell, who plays Zorri Bliss in the new movie, told Entertainment Weekly that she was only allowed to keep the ‘sides’ for her scenes and could only read the full script in a closely guarded room.

Also in his GMA interview, JJ noted that the film was just completed on Sunday as he was tying up loose ends to perfect it.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20.

The unnamed Star Wars actor isn’t the only celebrity to have their left-behind items auctioned off for sale.

Lady Gaga left behind a custom Valentino Couture dress at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles back in January.

One of the hotel’s housekeepers discovered the gown, then allegedly turned it into the lost and found where it remained until it was gifted to her by Gaga.

The auction listing includes a ‘letter of authenticity’ from the housekeeper dated October 17, which claims Lady Gaga left the dress to her specifically.

The dress only has ‘light soiling’ to the train, and is in ‘near fine condition.’
