Star Wars 9 leaks: 'Luke and Leia Rise of Skwalker scene FINALLY explores THIS mystery'

Fans already know Carrie Fisher will be appearing in the final Star Wars movie of the three trilogies. Unused footage will be used and integrated into new scenes. However, a major new leak claims there will be additional new scenes filmed, using Carrie’ Fisher’s own daughter to create flashback scenes to the iconic character’s youth with her twin brother. Even more excitingly, Leia’s own Force abilities will finally be explored further.

Making Star Wars has broken the latest news by acknowledging the dangers of endless unsubstantiated rumours, but stressing that the leaks come from a very reliable source on the set.

The site said: “Apparently there will be a sequence that shows a young Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia having an important conversation that will change how we see some of the characters involved. It seems like this moment probably takes place earlier on in the film. Sources were adamant that it plays with our perspective on the events a little of the trilogy a bit.

“Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd is said to play her stand-in for moments that will be augmented with CGI.

“For the first time during this trilogy, I’m actually hearing these rumors from Pinewood Studios filmmakers involved, associated, and near the production.”

“It sounds like the sequence in question between post-Return of the Jedi Leia and Luke has a lot to do with why Leia did not pursue the path of a Jedi.

“Some kind of vision, premonition, or warning plays with their judgement sort of like how the events that played out in The Last Jedi between Luke and Kylo. The scant details make it sound like Luke and Leia foresee a problematic future if Leia stays on the forefront of the action on her current path and the duo misreads the vision.”

Leia’s abilities are well-documented in the books but have been severely limited on screen apart from occasional hints until the divisive ‘Mary Poppins’ moment in The Last Jedi when she somehow survived being blasted into space and floated back to the ship.

Fans have always wondered why the movies did not explore her powers more. Logically, she and Luke should share similar abilities.

Fascinating as this sounds, it seems unnecessarily complicated for a movie which has numerous current and long-standing plotlines to wrap up after nine movies.

Furthermore, at Star Wars Celebration last month, director JJ Abrams said: “The idea of having a CG character was off the table, we’d never want to try.”
