Star Trek’s William Shatner has filed for divorce from wife Elizabeth Shatner, according to reports.

But TMZ claims, the split should be a breeze as the couple signed a prenup and never had kids together.

Veteran actor William, 88, is estimated to be worth $100 million.

He and Elizabeth married on 13 February 2001.

An insider told the publication: ‘The Shatners are still negotiating the financial terms. Per the terms of the prenup, neither party will receive any support from the other.’

The title also claims that the separation date was 1 February 2019. The report states that William requested the divorce and is using the same lawyer used by celebrities like Britney Spears and Kim Kardashian in their divorces.

Shatner is also known for roles in films likes of Miss Congeniality and TV shows like Boston Legal.

This will be his fourth divorce, after previously being married to Nerine Kidd, Marcy Lafferty and Gloria Rand.

He is a dad to three kids, Leslie, 61, Lisabeth, 58, and Melanie, 55, with first wife Gloria.

Speaking to the Guardian in 2014 about meeting Elizabeth, he said: ‘I was attracted by her beauty first of all, which was an old syndrome for me … and I think I lucked out because she had so many other qualities as well.

‘Elizabeth has a great sense of humour and a great sense of adventure and she’s very nurturing. That combination of beauty, style, intelligence, humour and loving horses and dogs and children and loving her home and making a home for us, is quite a combination. So I’ve been very lucky because all that happened by accident.

‘Love is what makes the cold universe warm.’
