But speaking with Hello!, the Loose Women panellist spoke about some of her most useful parenting hacks, including how to get her kids – Zach, 12, and Leighton, eight – to do their homework.

But rather than fuss about, she revealed: “Let them not do it, let them get a detention, and make them walk home.”

She added: “Zach has now missed two pieces of homework since he started [secondary school] in September because he hates having to walk home when he misses the school bus, and that’s what you’ve got to do when you’ve got a detention because I’m not coming out at five o’clock to pick him up from school!”

Last year Stacey revealed that she was going to stop homeschooling her eldest son Zachery and send him to secondary school.

But just like every other parent across the nation, she was forced to home school again this year after they shut down due to coronovirus – and shared some tips in how she coped.

The popular mum also has a son Rex, one, to her partner Joe Swash and regularly updates her 3.6 million Instagram followers on her home life with the boys.

Her carefree approach to motherhood is probably thanks to her own mum, Fiona, who Stacey often turns to for advice.

She said: “The best advice she ever gave me was just do what works for you. Don’t dwell on anything for too long.

“She’s really good, my mum, at being like ‘it’s not worth worrying about, you could spend the rest of your life worrying about whether you did the right thing by your kids but as long as your intentions are good, that’s what’s important. Nobody’s perfect!'”

The lovable TV star – who recently appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox – is well-known for her thrifty DIY ways, easy-to-prepare meals and cleaning hacks around the home – often sharing how-to’s online.

But it’s not just for her own satisfaction as the mum-of-three revealed it’s to teach her sons, too.

“We cook together all the time because I really do not want my sons to leave my home and not be able to put a wash on or cook,” she said. “I have a real thing about it, I just want them to be independent and able to run a home.”

Stacey recently launched a new kids range with the purse-friendly chain Primark, which she teased on Instagram before revealing the range.

But the kids were very involved in the design process, Stacey admitted, saying the collection is “really influenced by them”.
