Kevin Clifton and Stacey Dooley have clearly been doing lockdown right, with the pair of them admitting they’ve been living like students.

During Stacey’s appearance on Saturday Kitchen, Kev came to gatecrash the livestream, with his girlfriend calling him over.

‘He’s panicking he looks scruffy,’ Stacey said, with Kevin adding: ‘My mum’s going to be furious!’

‘We’ve been like a pair of students, staying in bed late, getting up late, gotta get some kind of routine back in this household!’ Stacey continued.

Sounds pretty glorious to us.

While the couple, who met when they were paired up together on Strictly Come Dancing, are pretty private about their relationship, Stacey recently opened up about not wanting to be a Strictly curse ‘cliche’.

She told BBC Radio 5’s Headliners podcast: ‘I didn’t want to be such a cliché – it’s so cringe and cheesy. I want to be cooler than this.

‘Kev and I were pals for such a long time. I liked hanging out with him. So it was much later down the line for us.’

The pair have remained happily together ever since, and while Stacey thinks Kevin would be a great dad, she’s unsure whether she wants to bring any children into the uncertain world we are living in.

She explained: ‘He is an angel. He is the kindest man I’ve met. His temperament is very chilled and he would be an amazing father.

‘I think I want to have kids, I’m sort of back and forth. I love the idea of having a gang, a unit, an us against the world.

‘I love all that. And I would [love] to take care of someone. But I’m also quite morbid and because I’ve seen so much s**t, I think what am I bringing them into.’

Saturday Kitchen airs Saturdays at 10am on BBC One.
