Square Enix news: Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Kingdom Hearts 3, Dragon Quest XI


Square Enix news today kicks off with the latest on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which was one of the big stars of the Tokyo Game Show 2019.

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake made a big splash at TGS 2019, with a brand new trailer revealed as well as a tonne of gameplay footage.

The latest Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer revealed the Ifrit and Shiva summons in action as well as Shinra goons Reno and the Turks.

The new FF7 Remake trailer also showed Don Corneo for the first time, which fans are convinced is being voiced by none other than Mark Hamill.

The latest footage from Square Enix also showed what fans will have to do to prepare for the Honey Bee Inn scene.

Square Enix also released the full, uncut footage from the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo that was showcased at E3 2019 and Gamescom.

And they also revealed that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will boast a turn-based classic mode for purists that love the old school PS1 gameplay.

In other Square Enix news the Japanese gaming giant also recently revealed the first trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3: Re Mind.

The new trailer of the upcoming DLC was released for TGS 2019 showed Sora fighting with the Oathkeeper keyhole that skipped KH3.

The Re Mind trailer also showed Kairi in trouble and more fights against the nefarious Organisation XIII.

Disney characters were conspicuously absent from the DLC trailer, which could hint towards more of a focus on Square Enix lore.

The Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind DLC is set to release on PS4 and Xbox One this winter.

And finally in Square Enix news Dragon Quest XI fans are gearing up for the big Nintendo Switch release.

This month Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is releasing on the Nintendo Switch.

One of the best JRPGs of this generation is heading to the Switch on September 27 with a new 16-bit retro mode.

This lets you swap out the typical HD graphics with SNES style visuals seen in classic JRPGs like Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger.

Ahead of the Dragon Quest XI release Switch fans have been delivered more great news about the series.

Square Enix has revealed that they are set to release three original Dragon Quest games and a Game Boy Color title on the Nintendo Switch.

These games are Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation and Dragon Quest Warriors.

At the moment these games have only been announced as getting released on the Japanese Nintendo eShop.

But fans in UK, Europe and other Western regions will surely be hoping for a release also.
