Spotify Wrapped 2019: Drake and Ed Sheeran among most-streamed artists of the decade

Spotify has revealed the biggest tracks, albums and artists on the streaming service over the past decade, with Drake emerging as the most-streamed artist of the 2010s.

The hip-hop star achieved more than 28 billion streams. Rounding out the top five most-streamed artists are Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Ariana Grande and Eminem

Despite the fact her last album was released in 2016, Rihanna emerged as the second most-streamed female artist of the decade, with Ariana Grande topping the list. Taylor Swift came in at number three, followed by Sia and Beyonce.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, the most-streamed track of the year was Ed Sheeran’s mega-hit “Shape of You”, with more than 2 billion streams. This was followed by Drake’s “One Dance” featuring Kyla and WizKid, Post Malone’s “Rockstar”, “Closer” by The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey, and Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud”.
